From Vilalba, we cross a small bridge over the Trimaz River and we come to Penas Corveiras. Landscapes dotted with authentic examples of traditional architecture accompany us on the trail through A Seara, Sabugueiros, Gabín, O Castro and Regovide.
After 6.7 kilometres, we reach San Xoán de Alba. We pass through Ponte Pedrouzos, Costián, O Coutado and Goiriz, then descend to the Labrada River. We cross the waterway by the magnificent medieval Saa Bridge.
The Camino crosses a strip of land between the Ladra River and the A-8 motorway. Passes by As Casas Novas, Contariz, Casamuíño, A Castiñeira and the Carmen Chapel. After passing through places like A Estrada, we come to Ferreira, to go into Baamonde, in the municipality of Begonte. There we can see the Santiago de Baamonde Church, dating from the 14th century, in a Gothic-style but it retains some Romanesque.
